Join us from your home and Walk for Babies taking place on Sunday, October 4, 2020. Due to the presence of COVID-19 and safety of all participants this year’s walk will have a twist and be virtual. The safety and health of all participants especially our NICU graduates is important to all of us!

How do does a virtual Walk for Babies work? It can be completed as an individual or gather a small group of family and friends and complete a 1 mile walk to celebrate the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) and support others going through the NICU journey. The Walk will be interactive with more surprises to come!

Our fundraising goal for 2020 is $150,000. Last year’s amazing total was $129,388.00 with 1,686 walkers (individuals and on 117 teams). Because of all the support, we were also able to award 45 plaques for those who raised $1,500 or more for the NICView camera systems. Imagine not being able to see your child or only one parent be in the hospital. These cameras have had a huge impact on families in the NICU especially in the current situation of COVID-19.

For 2020, we would like to complete the implementation of the NICView cameras at the Summa campus. There are still plaques to be awarded for those teams who raise $1,500 or more. Additionally, this year reminds us of the significance of the countless materials needed within the NICU. The purchase of a new ventilator for the NICU will also be a goal of our fundraising efforts. Your support is needed now more than ever!

We are inspired by everyone’s dedication and hard work each year of this event. As always, 100% of the money raised for Walk for Babies is donated to Akron Children's Hospital NICU.

Although this year will be different, we look forward to seeing what we can accomplish! If you have questions about registration and fundraising, please contact
