This year, the Dancing for the Kids event looks a bit different due CDC guidelines. The duo for the performance will be the local celebrity dancing with a family member or friend of their choice. A dance professional, from Kent State University, will create the choreography and teach it to the celebrity duo virtually. The performance of the celebrity duo will be filmed prior to the showing. The event will still be hosted by Keith Kennedy from WKDD’s 98.1 morning show and we have three judges who provide feedback on the performances. After the dances are filmed and edited together, the movie will be premiered live on Friday, October 15, 2021.

There are two different ways to watch the 2021 Dancing for the Kids movie. You can attend the socially distant in-person event at the Midway Drive-In Theater located in Kent or you can attend the virtual event in the comfort of your own home. Each version has a different ticketing website so please click the correct event link below.
