Welcome Teachers to Piano-a-thon #22 in 2022! We are so glad you are participating

and helping us celebrate. We could not do it without you!

  • If you are interested in joining Piano-a-thon, please contact Elaine Thompson with the Piano-a-thon Board of Directors at pianoathon@roadrunner.com for more information.

  • If you would like to volunteer for Piano-a-thon, please contact Elaine Thompson with the Piano-a-thon Board of Directors also at pianoathon@roadrunner.com for more information.

  • Please encourage your students to register on our web site. This is our most effective means of fundraising. They have fun designing their own web page, adding pictures and a link to their performance video, which they can send out to family and friends. It is by far our most effective way to raise money. All donations received by November 30th will be credited to this year’s event. Any donation received after November 30th will be credited 2023.

  • Families with more than one performer can choose to register as a family, and not individually. This makes it easier for grandparents to make one donation for all, etc.

  • In addition to your students registering, you also have the option to register your studio. In this case all of the donations from any of your students who do not wish to register would be credited to your studio. Click here for registration instructions. (InstructionsPlease Note: Anyone who was registered in 2021, whether an individual performer, family or studio, does not need to re-register in 2022. They will have the same username and password. Just log on to update your home page.

  • As always, we gladly accept checks payable to Akron Children’s Hospital as well as cash. For the pledge form click here. Make sure it is filled out with both the student & teacher’s names, as well as the donor’s address for thank yous. The hospital will send out thank you notes to all addresses they receive from these forms. All pledge forms and money should be turned in to the teachers by October 15, 2022 and then turned in to the Piano-a-thon Directors no later than October 31st. They will be credited to the student or studio.

  • Please check out the Performer page and the instructions for creating their video. See the sample video for ideas.

  • You will receive instructions for sharing your videos via Google Drop Box with the Piano-a-thon Committee along with the parental consent form click here. Once reviewed and approved they will then be uploaded to the Piano-a-thon YouTube Channel, where they may be viewed at any time. They will then be posted and featured on Facebook during Piano-a-thon Week, Ocotber 7th thru October 10th. You will be notified when they will be posted.
