Akron Children’s Hospital offers aid to Haiti after a deadly earthquake

St. Damien Hospital in Port-au-Prince and Akron Children’s Hospital have had a relationship with the people of Haiti for medical mission trips for more than a decade. When another deadly earthquake hit the country, many wanted to offer any kind of support they could.

Marilyn Diefendorff was a nurse who dedicated her life to caring for others, including establishing the Beads of Courage program at Akron Children's after visiting the Showers Family Center. Read more →
